I'm in the New Jersey area, if that helps. My debt isn't even substantial in any way, I just sort of made the account and forgot about it -- so they (TD Bank) decided OK and closed my account.
I called them a while ago and they said that they would be happy to reinstate it, of course if I paid me fees and such. I honestly feel cheated and want nothing to do with these people anymore. I've tried Bank of America and got denied with an online application so am thinking Chexsystems was obviously the culprit.
Anyone have any recommendations? I just want the most standard checking account, nothing fancy. A bank with online banking is a must too.
