How can I sell on ebay again if I can't get a checking account?

Even on the PayPal side, to open the account you don't need a bank account.) This is to buy on ebay & not to sell. I'm looking to become a seller.

To be a seller on ebay with a seller's account you must provide a valid credit card that is linked to a checking account from a bank. This is correct yes? Please pm me if it will be easier because I have no idea where your short list is & I need to get back online again to sell.

You're not quite correct in your analysis. Technically, you do not need a checking account anywhere to open an Ebay or PayPal account. On the Ebay side, a credit card verification will suffice. Even on the PayPal side, to open the account you don't need a bank account.

But you do need a bank account for PayPal:
1) to get confirmed - which a PP account that is not confirmed is usually shut down quickly if used for selling
2) As one way to get money out of it.

As far as ways to create accounts using other options, you need the Short List. The Short List will outline various "gift" type credit cards that still work with Ebay and PayPal. So the Short List will definitely help you address that credit card problem you mention.

There are some bank account options for you that can be discussed in tech support.

But as far as debit type cards that function as full-on bank accounts with routing numbers that accept ACH withdrawals and deposits, well - the internet is rife with all sorts of these offers and claims but:
1) most of these websites ask you to pay some fee in exchange for being given a list of businesses that supposedly offer you some sort of card that will act like a bank account. If you go through the hoops and actually end up with one that works, please let us know.
2) At the end of the day, such cards are really just online banking accounts, and may still require a credit check or Chexsystems check.

Hi everyone,

I need some good advice.

First, I am on chex systems here in California which means that I am unable to currently open up a checking account to get an ebay sellers account. Ebay & paypal require all sellers to provide a valid routable checking account number to sell on ebay.

Second, I do not have a credit card due to a bankrupty in my past. This means I cannot become id verified as an alternative to providing ebay with a checking account number.

My question: Is there an honest prepaid debit card that can provide me with a checking account routing number that ebay & paypal will accept to have on file?
