Changing your username / email on Google Checkout - open a new account?

So I want to change the username or email address on one of my Google Checkout accounts. Problem is, if your primary email address is gmail, Google won't allow this!

So they wrote to me and said:

Hello ______,

Thank you for your email.

I understand you'd like to change your email address for Google Checkout.

At this time, you can't change your email for Google Checkout if you sign
in with a Gmail username. We look forward to offering more options in the
future.

As an alternative, you can create a new Google Checkout merchant account
using a different email address to sign in. To create a new Google
Checkout merchant account, visit Google Checkout - Merchants and click
'Sign Up Now.'

So I figure, fine - I'll open an identical account with a different email address. I just did that, using identical name, address, telephone #, identical corporate GC account name, same federal EIN #, exact same bank account!

I did add a different credit card because I got a million of 'em, and a linked it to a different website of mine because I got a million of those too.

So...let's see what happens.

Months later - it's all good! I even opened a third account using same EIN and bank account.

BY THE WAY PEOPLE: pay VERY close attention to Google's Payment Guarantee policy
