  • EBAY new policy to report unwelcome buyers - not much help really

Ebay has rolled out a new "method" to report unwelcome buyers:
Violation of the eBay User Agreement policy

but upon close examination there is nothing new. All the policy states is that you may report buyers who enter into bids with no intention of performing, and have their feedback removed. This policy for feedback removal is nothing new, and my tech support clients have been getting negative feedback removed under my direction for all sorts of reasons, for a long time now.

Anyway, Ebay claims that their new policies:

To protect sellers from bad buyers, we:

-- expanded the situations when we'll remove negative and neutral
    feedback for unpaid items
-- developed a seller reporting hub to make it easier to file reports
against buyers who violate our policies
-- created referral reports to identify feedback manipulation, and
-- increased customer support staff to address member reports

but I see no evidence of anything really new. The "reporting hub" is simply a new form of the Contact Ebay form:
eBay Customer Support : Ask a Question
and if the report is not made absolutely right, you will, as always, get no action on your complaint.
Please read the forum rules before you post.
