  • USPS Rates increased June 1, 2015, BUT now free tracking on all First Class parcels

USPS Postal rates increased a penny per extra ounce (now 22 cents per extra ounce) on June 1, 2015, but delivery confirmation (tracking), which used to add $1.05 to the over all postage, is now FREE on all First Class parcels. First class parcels may weigh up to 13 ounces. Fourteen ounces and higher is priority mail.

Tracking has been free on USPS Priority and Express mail for a while now, but is now free on First Class parcels as well.

There is a detailed chart noting all of the rates at the end of the Short List, as well as details on how to get the free tracking even when shipping from home with stamps affixed to your 13 ounce and below packages.
