  • Indefinite suspension due to listing signed memorabilia

My story goes like this, but before I explain if anyone can help me there will be something in it for them, that will be more than worth thier while.

Ok, so mine was suspended due to listing autographed items, all of which are 100% genuine and were bought from very reputable dealers which give me lifetime guarantees which I pass on to all my buyers, whilst also providing direct lifetime guarantees by myself personally, all in a written letter of authencticity. I was selling signed music memorabilia but they were not certified by anone on thier list of "approved authenticators", when looking the the autograph listing policy you will find that in no way does it seem like you HAVE to get your items certified by them, just that it is a guideline and SHOULD be done, not to mention the fact not one of the approved companies are recommended for music memorabilia. I am based in Australia and as such it is a huge risk sending this type of item to the US to get authenticated as you have to risk loss, theft or damage to the items, not to mention I did actually contact each and every one of the approved authenticators some time ago and NONE would be willing to authenticate them due to them not have enough exemplars (real examples) to go by, none but PSA/DNA funnily enough. A sports memorabilia specialist. They said they would do it, for over $100 per item, but this seemed weird to me as they are sports specialists, and NONE of the other companies would even attempt the authentications. After researching them a bit more and learning of thier online opinion system I knew they were a scam, and decided to steer clear.

They have the company called PSA/DNA on thier "approved" authenticators list and they offer an "online opinion" for $7.50 which int hier words "can change upon them physically examining the item" anyway, the result of the online opinion comes back as "likely genuine" or "likely not genuine" ebay even recommends using such services before you put in an offer or bid for signed items. To anyone with authentication knowledge, you will know this online service is a complete scam and totally unproffessional and if someone has one of your listings opinionated by this service, and it does not have a PSA/DNA certification it will 99.9% of the time come back as "most likely not genuine". I some time decided to put this online opinion to the test by purchasing a PSA/DNA certified michel jackson signature but did not include the fact that it was already certified by them and did not include the sticker on the item or the COA from them in the picture I sent in to be opinionated on (online), low and behold and to no surprise, it was deemed "most likely not genuine", after that I was furious. Anyway after that happens and if the item opinionated is on ebay, they send a notice to ebay showing them the finding or opinion I should say, then the listing gets removed and you get given a TRADEMARK POLICY VIOLATION.... a what you may say, yeah me too, (the perfect way to get rid of competition don't you think?), certainly sounds like a report of a similar program to vero doesnt it......anyway these "policy breaches" are in the severe category and last on your account for no less than 12 months, yes all due to an "online opinion".

So I got a few some months back, and decided to get to the bottom of it and contacted Joe Orlando (President) from PSA and we had words, which I took as though we had an understanding, my listings wern't touched for over 6 months then BAM a couple of weeks back another two violations and my account of 4 years with over 1500 (recorded positive) feedbacks was suspended indefintely.

Ebay in time will get thiers, one way or another, I think most know this in the back of their minds in some way or another but in the mean time, if anyone can help me out, I will make it worth your while email me at [email protected]

GRRRRRRRRRR Feebay ! GRRRRRR PSA/DNA - YOU SCAM ARTISTS !

If your new and have not joined up, the advice is steer clear, thier advertised $20,000 buyer protection is hogwash, if they go and try and take the money from the seller and they do not have it in thier paypal or bank account, you will not get a cent, there is no real protection for any buyer or sellers, lastly, FeeBay and Paypal are owned by the same people, no wonder you HAVE to include paypal as a payment method.

Another story of big corporations stepping on the people that got them big in the first place.

ANYONE HEARD OF OR HAVE ANY ADVICE ABOUT GETTING GIVEN A "TRADEMARK POLICY VIOLATION" FOR SELLING AUTOGRAPHED ITEMS ?

Thankyou to anyone and all in advance, peace
